Twenty two years ago I redesigned Autocar and created a brand for its 100th anniversary, as a consultant, after I had launched TopGear magazine for BBC Redwood. I’ve done many versions, but the yellow logo made all the difference, when we went saddle stitched — Patrick Fuller, the publishing director, says that my redesign made an extra £150,000.
