I started the buyfontssavelives campaign. Matt Willey, who is presently design director for the New York Times ( and Joe Graham ( and Paul Hickson, the type designer, have helped me enormously with this cause, that has raised over £10,000 for two cancer charities. All proceeds go to the charities. The fund-raising project was inspired by my niece Laura, who sadly died aged just 26. I created a new typeface family to sell in her memory. Other type designers and experts are kindly joining in to help raise funds.
